About Us

The characters of this daily world wide webisode

We would make a horrible drama, but a wonderful sucess story.

CollegeCraig is a wiley little start-up chasing the idea of building stronger, safer, and more functional communities around college campuses. We hope to stir some change in our little world, and help students help each other. Our plan is to do so by providing an innovative online application that allows students to safely buy, sell, and trade with other students and their hyper-local communities. In building our solution, we kept our keen eyes focused on student-centric needs and new-fangled design and functionality. The result is this beautiful, clean site that you're navigating oh so well.

The team behind CollegeCraig.org loves helping people, thinking up great solutions, and working late into the night. Oh, and our dance moves are dirt mcgirt. Get to know us better:

Mauhan Zonoozy, Founder + Innovation Artist

Brewed barefoot in Portlandia, Mauhan does not adhere to the restrictive dogma of socks. Dignified at Georgetown, he wore haircuts to the venerable houses of Smith Barney, J.P. Morgan, and YAS Capital Partners. Mauhan soothed his itchy feet along the way by studying tides in Sydney, launching a business in Colorado, writing for TV and print in L.A., and philosophising on the NYC Chinatown bus. Now disenchanted with the commercialization of the couch surfing industry, Mauhan is back in the District indie rocking CollegeCraig. He hates pickles, but he'd eat one or two if it would make you smile.

Mauhan's favorite breakfast is the kind you eat at night.

Berni Schnider, Lead Solutionist

Growing up as 1/10th of a band of gypsies, Berni enjoyed playing the Woodrow, making jewelry, and eating vegetarian. In school, reoccurring injuries forced her out of a radical arts & crafts career and into project management. After she earned her stripes studying Finance and International Business at Georgetown University, Berni traded the stock market for the more open-air arena of strategy and business development. She honed these skills leading initiatives for both national organizations and small business entrepreneurs and couldn’t be more thrilled to be back serving her campus community’s needs. Finding creative solutions to real world problems is how she gets down. That and hard driving beats.

Her favorite breakfast is: Lattes and bananas.

Haydn Strauss, Development Sensei

Compiled, built, and deployed in Colorado, Haydn has been field tested for over 24 years with Apple, Ebay, Skanska, and throughout the government IT market. His once lowly performance  enjoyed rapid upgrades at the University of Colorado, where he extended on his base OS to understand Structural Engineering and Compputer Science. After beta testing in Colorado, Haydn found his way to Portland for a number of years before landing in a true production environment in Washington DC with CollegeCraig.

Haydn's favorite breakfast is: Bytes of any bits it can get ahold of.

Gigi Childs, Social Media Mastermind

Gigi Childs grew up in Great Falls, Virginia with big dreams of wanting to be a circus performer. She went to circus camp twice but sadly never made it to the big top. After high school Gigi went Wahoo at the University of Virginia, double majoring in Foreign Affairs and French and minoring in Web Surfing for Hours on End. In Charlottesville she perfected her skills as an Internet addict, molding her into the perfect candidate to manage the CollegeCraig social media circus. (Dreams do come true!) She "likes", she tweets, and she tumbls, can you digg it?

Gigi's favorite breakfast is leftover Chinese food and/or spaghetti bolognese. Bring her either one of these things at 10 a.m. and she'll love you forever.

Rob Perkins IV, User Guru

Rob could not be easier to get along with, and fits snugly between all things content-related and all needs user-oriented. Hailing from Portland, the University of Oregon accounting grad has spent most his life working in the motion picture industry, including marketing for Paramount Pictures and Director of Operations'ing a national theater chain. Rob is always excited to field questions, concerns, and commendations from the CC community. Please write legibly.

When faced with the daily challenge of deciding his breakfast, Rob usually chooses lunch.
